초록
The purpose of this study is to investigate constructs and establish the definition of career emotion regulation, and develop the career emotion regulation scale(CERS) needed for actual career counseling and career related studies. For that first, the researcher reviewed theories and literature on career and emotion regulation, and then did concept mapping analysis to four-years university students for exploring the initial constructs and items. After the preliminary items were determined through verifying the contents validity of initial items by experts, the first exploratory factor analysis(EFA) to 564 university students was conducted and, the factors and included final items was extracted. Additionally, the second EFA to 999 students was conducted. Finally, the CERS consisting of 34 items and 6 factors was developed which was named ‘reduction job environment uncertainty’, ‘self-identification’, ‘enhancement positive emotion’, ‘attention deployment and action to career preparation’, ‘cognitive acceptance’, ‘avoidance’. The developed CERS showed the average, standard deviation, correlation between the items within the normal range as a result of item analysis, and each factor showed Cronbach’s α from .748 to .853. Next, all of the acceptable values were good as a result of a confirmatory factor analysis conducted on 999 university students to verify the validity of the component structure. Through the above results, the CERS developed in this study has proven to be reliable and valid, it will increase the level of individual diagnosis and treatment of emotion regulation for university students during career counseling, and will contribute to the revitalization of the study about the relationship between the career-related variation and career emotion regulation.
