This study aims to analyze the effects of an aesthetic approach activity program using poetry picture books on young children's happiness flourishing and literacy. The participants were 50 five-year-old children from K Kindergarten in G City, consisting of 25 children in the experimental group and 25 in the comparison group. The experimental treatment was conducted for a total of 18 sessions over 9 weeks from October to December 2024, twice a week for approximately 50 minutes per session. The experimental group participated in aesthetic approach activities using poetry picture books, while the comparison group engaged in literary approach activities. The collected data were analyzed using ANCOVA with SPSS 26.0. The results showed significant differences between the two groups in all sub-factors of young children's happiness flourishing and in the sub-factors of syntax-semantic comprehension and basic writing activities among the literacy components, with the experimental group demonstrating higher levels than the comparison group. This indicates that aesthetic approach activities using poetry picture books had a positive impact on enhancing young children's happiness flourishing and literacy. Based on these findings, it is expected that the aesthetic approach activity program using poetry picture books will be actively utilized in early childhood education settings as an effective educational method for improving young children's happiness flourishing and literacy.
