초록

Various social problems are emerging as a major issue due to the increase in the number of elderly people as the population ages rapidly. Especially, dementia accompanies not just the problem that this disease has but also other incidental ones related to nursing care, so it is nationally noted on personal, family, medical and welfare levels. Artistic activities view the inner world of the elderly, and they are the expression of characteristics where feelings and thoughts are reflected and the area accompanied with physical activities. Therefore, this study's purpose is to provide basic data for the development of art therapy education programs aimed at alleviating dementia symptoms of the elderly. For this purpose, the characteristics of dementia symptoms and behavior types were examined and the current status of long-term care insurance system and home visiting care centers were reviewed. Through this, this study examined the significance and function of art therapy education as a solution to the problems of program operation and then looked out the future tasks.
