The purpose of this study was to identify trends in STEAM education studies for infants by activity type, composition and evaluation details and to assist in setting directions in implementing and researching early childhood STEAM education in the future. To this end, studies related to early childhood STEAM education were collected from academic papers and academic papers from 2013 to 2019 when discussions on the application of early childhood STEAM education were first discussed in Korea. The criteria for analyzing the activity types of the final collected studies were ‘connection’ and ‘integration’ and ‘fusion’ and the criteria for analyzing the composition were set up for STEAM components such as science, technology, engineering, mathematic and art. Finally, the criteria for analysing the assessment are ‘creative’, ‘cognitive domain’ and ‘affective domain’. The results of this study are as follows. First, studies on early childhood STEAM education found that the most common types of activities were ‘connection’ and ‘A-STEAM’ centered on the arts area was the most active. Second, when we looked at the contents of education that make up the early childhood STEAM education by component The most frequently mentioned area of education is the technology sector. And much of the details covered were about "choosing and evaluating subjects, symbols and ideas" in the art field. Third, in a study conducted on early childhood STEAM education, the most common area of assessment in the lower content of the assessment tools used to analyze the effects of application was the area of creativity, among which the most assessment was made of ‘creative thinking’.
