The Career Indecision Inventory applicable to Korean University students is composed of five factors(external barrier, indecisiveness, lack of career information, lack of self-identity, lack of necessity of recognition). The purpose of this study is to investigate the construct equivalence of five factors of Career Indecision Inventory and to compare the latent means between male and female students. In the pursuit of the purposes, multi-group confirmative factor analysis is performed to test whether the inventory has configural, metric and scale invariance, indicating that different scores on the inventory can be compared meaningfully across the groups. Latent means analysis(LMA) is performed to test mean differences on the five factors across the two groups. According to LMA where male students are used as reference group, male students show significantly higher latent mean vales than female students in lack of necessity of recognition. Finally, the implications of the results and the need for future studies were pointed out.
