The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship of out-of-school adolescents’ intolerance of uncertainty, planned happenstance skills, and career anxiety. A sample of 214 out-of-school adolescents participated in this study. Data was analyzed with SPSS 23.0 and SPSS Macro. The results are as follows. First, intolerance of uncertainty positively predicted career anxiety while planned happenstance skills negatively did. Second, planned happenstance skills, especially curiosity and flexibility were found to moderate the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and career anxiety. Based on this study, I hope that further investigations of reduction plans for out-of-school adolescents’ career anxiety are to be continued.
