초록

The purpose of this study is to provide foundational data for establishing directions for digital media literacy education in elementary and middle schools by analyzing the 2022 revised curriculum documents for Korean, Social Studies, and Art subjects using text mining techniques. To examine the patterns of words related to digital media literacy in the “common curriculum” documents of each subject, keyword frequency analysis was conducted to identify keywords in each subject, and keyword network analysis was used to explore and visualize the connection structures of these keywords. The results indicated that, while some differences were observed across subjects, content-related and digital-related keywords appeared frequently. Across subjects, 2 to 3 communities were identified, all of which had interconnected structures. Based on these results and the framework of digital media literacy sub-competencies, implications for designing the content of digital media literacy education in subject-specific curricula were suggested. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of a content map for digital media literacy education in elementary and middle schools and to support the systematic enhancement of digital literacy education, a key focus of the 2022 revised curriculum.
