The purpose of this study is to understand how the process of innovation diffusion in university organizations appears, and to explore the factors that influence the adoption of innovation by university faculties. In particular, it was analyzed through a survey on the perception of university faculties to see if there were any differences in the factors that influence the adoption of innovation according to the time of adoption of the university faculties. The results of the study showed the aspect of the university curriculum reform site regarding the acceptance and adoption of the diffusion of innovation suggested by Rogers to reflect the perceptions and behaviors of faculties, especially teachers. I wanted to highlight the central point. As a result, teachers who are exemplary early adopters who adopt and actively practice competency-based curricula and late adopters who show relatively late acceptance are (1) relative benefits, (2) relevance, (3) complexity, (4) There were differences in trial, sustainability, (5) observability, and (6) psychological resistance. Thus, by deducting the factors for adopting innovation, such as the introduction of competency-based curriculum in universities, it suggests what kind of effort will be required to induce innovation adoption and participation by decision makers, which are essential for enhancing educational excellence of university.
