This study was conducted with a focus on breakfast service design for urban professionals in the Shanghai area, based on their lifestyles. Breakfast plays a crucial role in signaling the start of the day, yet urban professionals often face challenges in consuming healthy and nutritious breakfast due to the fast pace of life and busy schedules. To address this issue, the study aimed to identify the primary needs of urban professionals and propose a convenient and high-quality breakfast service design to meet their requirements. The research subjects were urban professionals in the Shanghai area, and their lifestyles and breakfast habits were investigated through surveys and in-depth interviews. Using the KANO model analysis and SPSS analysis methods, the study analyzed the demands and satisfaction levels of urban professionals. Additionally, comparative analysis combined with charts was provided to clearly identify the breakfast-related issues faced by urban professionals. The results and suggestions emphasize the need for breakfast service designs that consider the nutritional balance and convenience of urban professionals, integrating traditional breakfast culture with modern technology to develop intelligent services. It also highlights the importance of raising awareness for healthy lifestyles and promoting positive eating habits through education. Such breakfast service designs are expected to contribute not only to improving the health and lifestyle of urban professionals but also to enhancing work efficiency and economic development.
