초록

This study aims to examine the aesthetic prospect and paradox of block chain and NFT technology, as dance art evolves into new media art. More specific objective of it is to demonstrate the implication of new aura in the digital age by considering uniqueness, the right of continuity, of digital images liberated from the material archetype. The approach to the study was discussed based on the theories of Walter Benjamin and Baudrillard. At first, Chapter II deals with the genetic meaning and history of images. Chapter III identifies block chain and NFT technology as the image eugenics in the age of digital reproduction, and therefore, discusses the evolution of aura. Chapter IV presents the status of images extended as the aestheticization of capitalism including ownership, subscription of digital files, and goods, as an issue as image power in dance art. Today, images have been transformed from the imitators reproducing materials to the interpreters creating them. In the face of such a change, the discussion of the applicability of block chain and NFT technology to the dance art may be meaningful scholarly performance, in that it can provide a new insight on the dance paradigm as new media
