This study aims to reinterpret the emotional meaning and ritual symbolism embedded in everyday tools—specifically a bell and a candle snuffer—into sense-centered living objects, based on the symbolic meanings of flower language and the formative characteristics of natural forms. Considering the four seasons, magnolia, lemon tree, rose geranium, and mistletoe were selected, and their respective meanings were interpreted as a language of emotion. These were combined with the inherent ritual functions of gestures such as ringing the bell and snuffing the candle, in an attempt to symbolically express the flow of emotion and time. While faithfully reproducing the external forms of natural objects, the work explores a sensory and ritual structure that guides the initiation and conclusion of emotion and the transition of thought through a series of actions—holding the flower branch, ringing the bell, and extinguishing the flame. This sensory experience is deeply connected to the aesthetic theory of the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard, who argued that tactile imagination originates in the material interaction of touch that evokes memory and emotion, and that materials such as metal, wood, and fragrance serve as mediums for conveying emotion through the poetic symbolism of matter. Based on this theoretical framework, the study explores, from an interpretive perspective, the symbolic structure of formative language mediated by the senses and the potential of emotional experience. The Good News series is proposed as an interpretive formative attempt that integrates emotion, sense, ritual, and memory, linking functionality and artistry, everydayness and symbolism.
