This study aims to develop a new emotional intelligence education program and measure its effects by proposing advertising as a tool for the emotional intelligence education program. An advertising included various emotional elements, so the emotional experience during the time in contact with an advertising is closely related to the ability that forms the subarea of emotional intelligence. First of all, an emotional intelligence education program using an advertising called ‘AD Play for EQ’ was developed to achieve the goal of the study. To measure the effect of the program, 152 third graders at S Elementary School were divided into an experimental group of 50 students and a control group of 52 students. A preliminary test of emotional intelligence and the ability for social emotional Learning was run. Then, only the students in the experimental group experienced the 12-chapter program. The effectiveness of the program was checked right after the program through the posttest. Among two groups confirmed to be the same group in the preliminary test, the research result indicates that the experimental group that experienced the program shows a significant improvement in the total score of emotional intelligence and Social Emotional Learning ability.
