초록

The objective of this study was to verify the effects of a developed emotional leadership program that utilizes Enneagram concepts for the purpose of enhancing parental capabilities, specially the father's emotional leadership. To examine the changes in THE emotional leadership of the fathers who participated in the Enneagram -based father leadership program, after a document review and expert validation, the factors of father's role selected for improving their emotional leadership were found to be emotional self-awareness, responsibility, sympathy, and communication. The changes experienced by the participants are as follows: First, The process of change was the father's role and the wisdom to read one's own emotions, governing one's inner treasure and understanding another person's point of view, and working towards creating a loving, happy family through communication with one's children. Second, the changes in the fathers included an improvement in emotional self-awareness, responsibility, sympathy, and communication skills, after participating in the emotional leadership program. This experience gave the fathers a better understanding their emotions, allowing them to become aware that the father is the future image of the child. Other results noted were the children having happier expressions, and the father listening more attentively and expressing agreement.
