초록

This study examined the moderating effects of the subcomponents of basic psychological needs―autonomy, competence, and relatedness-on the relationship between job stress and psychological burnout among psychological counselors. A total of 240 psychological counselors participated in the study, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and the SPSS PROCESS macro. The findings revealed that, first, significant correlations existed between job stress, psychological burnout, and basic psychological needs. Second, autonomy and competence were identified as significant moderators in the relationship between job stress and psychological burnout, whereas relatedness did not demonstrate a moderating effect. These results suggest that enhancing autonomy and competence may serve as effective protective factors in reducing the negative impact of job stress and preventing psychological burnout among psychological counselors.
