초록

The purpose of this study is to analyse the role and the effect of datascape in contemporary architecture with the viewpoint of the structuralization of data. This study analyses the design process and the strategies of datascape through the important datascape architecture that have been designed since the 199’s. The framework for the analysis follows from the categories of the data structuralization. This explains the usefulness of datascape in the enormous complicated architectural design. In the architectural design of datascape, data are referred to architectural needs, various quantitative numbers, different qualitative analysis, functions, architectural elements, and social cultural needs. As datascape substitute visual graphic diagram for these data and use the diagram as the operating tool of data structure, architectural design can have the rational theoretical process. These architectural design processes of datascape introduce the possibility and the potentiality of contemporary architecture through the usage of the program and the diagram as the visual structure of data. Because datascape don’t completes the design process as the decided structure but as the organic integration system. Datascape design processes have the steps as making data lists, classification and processing of data, making data codes, processing data code, control of data structure as diagram, and structuralization of physical architecture.
