The purpose of this study was to examine whether supervisee’s self-disclosure moderates the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and countertransference management ability after verifying the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and the countertransference management ability of supervisees. 302 Participants answered the questionnaire about the year of counseling experiences, the number of counseling sessions, the number of supervision experiences, the supervisee’s self-disclosure, and the countertransference management ability. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 23.0 and SPSS Macro. First, the results showed that the number of supervision experiences significantly affected the countertransference management ability. The effect was still significant even after controlling the number of counseling sessions and the year of counseling experiences. Secondly, the supervisee’s self-disclosure had a positively significant effect on the countertransference management ability. Thirdly, in the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and the countertransference management ability, the self-disclosure of supervisees showed a moderating effect. That is, more supervision experiences led to improve countertransference management ability, but the ratio of countertransference management ability compared to the number of supervision experiences was higher in supervisees with low self-disclosure than high ones. Moreover, the moderating effect was identified two sub-scales such as, ‘the counseling process and intervention’ and, ‘counselor-client emotions and personal issues’, among five sub-scales of Supervisee’s Self-disclosure. Based on the results the implications and limitations of the study and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
