초록

This study intended to classify types of youth employee by their job mismatches and to figure out major factors that can influence on the classification. This study used '2015 Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey(2015 GOMS)' that is offered by Korea Employment Information Service and it include information of college graduates' job seeking, labor market entering. Total number of youth is 12,333, they graduated college in August 2014 or February 2015 and had age between 19 to 34. For classifying youth, this study used job mismatch variables include education, skill and major in college and used latent class analysis and multinominal logistic regression. The research results are as follows: First, Youth employee's job mismatch classifications can be divided into three types; Discordance type, Education level match type, Education and Skill level match type. Second, 'Education and Skill level match type' have characteristics that these students are diligent to school life and have lower standards for entering job market. As a result, they quickly entered the labor market. Third, 'Education level match type' seems to want having high salary job and have long time for job preparing. Then, even if level of skill did not match, they would have correct wage level job. Lastly, 'Discordance type' have a lot of effort for work like internship, vocational education. But they have high mismatches in education, skill and major in college.
