This study was conducted to investigate the independent factor analysis between body composition, leptin, and insulin in 86 professional dancers. The subjects' age, dance career, height, weight, BMI, skeletal muscle mass, total body water, percent body fat, leptin, and insulin were measured. The correlation between all measurement items and variables was confirmed through Pearson correlation analysis. Serum leptin and serum insulin concentrations were designated as dependent variables, and multiple regression analysis was applied to find independent factors affecting them. The results of the analysis showed a positive correlation between professional dancers' age, dancing carreer, weight, skeletal muscle mass, percent body fat , BMI, leptin, and insulin(p<.01), and a negative correlation between skeletal muscle mass and insulin(p<.01). Additionally, body fat and insulin were suggested as independent factors affecting leptin(R²=.616) and insulin was suggested as an independent factor affecting leptin(R²=.354) in professional dancers. In future research, it suggests that research is needed that approaches the issue from various perspectives about relationship between physical characteristics and autonomic nervous system function, leptin, and insulin in various groups including dancers.
