This study was conducted with the objective to discover the impact of psychological factors(anxiety, depression, stress) on emotional response to music (total response average, average of stimulative area, average of sedative area). The study covered 225 adults, 145 women and 80 men, among whom 37 were in their teens, 157 in their twenties, and 31 in their thirties, making the average age of 28.56. A classical piece was used for this study, 'Dichter und Bauer' Overture by Franz von Suppe, with the playing time of 9 minutes 40 seconds. This study applied relevant questionnaires in order to collect data on psychological factors(anxiety, depression, stress), and for a device measuring emotional response caused by music, used CRDI (Continuous Response Digital Interface) enabling to measure emotional response while listening to music on a real-time basis and quantified time-series data from CRDI. For statistics processing to deal with data related to study issues, multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were employed. The results of MANOVA on emotional response to music by non-musical factors (total response average, average of stimulative area, average of sedative area) display significant differences in all of the categories including anxiety, depression, stress(p<.05).
