This study aims to examine the differences in behavioral problems and psychosocial adaptation according to the Dysregulation Profile(DP) level of K-CBCL 6-18 of children and adolescents with ADHD living in child foster care centers. The participants were 195 children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD. The K-CBCL 6-18, Self-Esteem Scale, Social Support Scale, Social Competency Scale, Happiness Scale, and School Satisfaction Scale were used as research tools for this study. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were significant positive correlations between DP and behavioral problems(Syndrome Scales, DSM-Oriented Scales, Problem Behavior Special Scales). In the case of psychosocial adaptation, there were significant and negative correlations between DP and sociality, school performance, total competence score, self-esteem, social support, and happiness. Second, behavioral problems in the DP group were significantly higher than in the Non-DP group. Third, the DP group showed significantly lower school performance, self-esteem, and happiness compared to the Non-DP group. As such, this study is meaningful in that it was found that ADHD children and adolescents with clinical levels of DP showed more severe behavioral problems and lower self-esteem, school performance, and happiness in psychosocial adaptation.
