This study analyzes the effect of time perspective on financial well-being for Korean adults. And we examined at how the generation gap between millennials and baby boomers regulates the impact. As a result of the study, past-negative tendencies had a negative impact on financial well-being by increasing materialism and compulsive consumption. Future-oriented tendencies people have a positive impact on financial well-being as they have less compulsive spending and have a responsible lifestyle in managing their money. The generational difference between millennials and baby boomers was significant in the eight paths of past-negative, past-positive, present-fatalistic, present-hedonic, and future-oriented. Financial well-being has a strong positive relationship with overall well-being, and is emerging as the most important issue in almost all developed countries around the world. In this study, it was confirmed that sound expenditure and money management are affected by time outlook and are important factors in maintaining individual financial well-being. As such, time perspective, which is an individual difference in time, affects a variety of outcomes including well-being, decision-making, motivation, and achievement. The goal of this study is to determine if the time perspective predicts healthy consumers and consumers with a healthy financial profile.
