This study attempted to overcome the limitations of existing generational research by paying attention to the multi-dimensional characteristics and heterogeneity of the generation while revealing the characteristics of teachers born in the 1990s. For the study, 10 teachers born in the 90s were interviewed in consideration of school level and region, and 7 more teachers born in the non-90s were interviewed to increase the reliability of research. The research results were largely divided into the characteristics of teachers born in the 1990s and their influence on teacher culture. Teachers born in the 1990s recognized teaching as a job, and the distinction between school life and personal life was clear. They were interested in using multimedia devices well and improving classes, and managed classes in their own way. They interacted with fellow teachers on-line rather than on-site schools, and criticized the school culture of emphasizing seniority. The characteristics that value work-life balance differed from person to person. The characteristics of teachers born in the 1990s increased the likelihood of thinking reasonably and openly in schools and stimulated class reflection and improvement. However, there was a concern that communication between teachers would weaken, and there was a tendency to follow existing behaviors related to promotion.
