This study aims to explore ways to adress the issue of hate toward toward Korean-Chinese through history lesson. To this end, a history lesson was designed to improve perceptions of Korean-Chinese, and it was actually conducted with 70 Korean university students. The effectiveness of the lesson was analyzed through a survey. The survey results showed that 86% of the students reported a shift from a negative perception to a positive perception of Korean-Chinese. This clearly demonstrates that history education can serve as a stepping stone for addressing issues of hate toward Korean-Chinese in Korean society and for seeking coexistence and solidarity with them. Starting with this study, it is hoped that history education will establish itself as a practical discipline that actively responds to issues of hate toward various social minorities, including migrants.
