The purpose of this study was to examine the publication style and authors’ research productivity by analyzing the articles published in the journal of vocation education and research. Especially, we did content analysis to analyze the style and trends of publication by using Lotka’s law. For the analysis, we collected the data from 1982 to 2019 and finally, 990 articles were selected. The results of the study was as follow. First, 620 published articles were written by two or more authors during the analysis period. Second, the authorship was belong to a few authors who were one or two authors more. Third, their institutions were university, research institute, and secondary school etc. Fourth, authors’ publication activity was not continuous, which means many of them have not publish their articles without seaming less. Fifth, based on the analysis of research productivity, Lotka’s law is adequate to analyze the research trends of journal of vocation education research. A few authors made much contributions in publishing the articles than those of many authors who published a few pieces of articles. For future research, we suggested the supports system and learning communities for proliferating the research activities and productivity in vocational education field.
