The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the leadership of the middle managers who worked at early childhood education institutions using the Enneagram personality type, and to examine the characteristics of the middle managers of each type. As the results, the Type 5 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of sincerity and challenge, and the Type 6 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of consideration, and the Type 7 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of challenge. The Type 2 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of challenge, sympathy, and affirmation. The Type 3 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of consideration, and the Type 4 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of challenge. The Type 8 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of responsibility, and the Type 9 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of modesty and consideration, and the Type 1 middle managers demonstrated leadership characteristics of sincerity and responsibility. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to help smooth operation of child care and educational institutions and to have a positive effect on child development through the leadership development of middle managers.
