Purpose: This study tried to discuss the characteristics of ‘dance mobility’ in social media, from the sociological perspective, body movement and capital production and digital media in the cultural practice of mobility power. Methods: It is an interpretative literature study that borrows the Sheller’s and Urry’s mobility theory. Result: First, it ecologically described the definition of mobility, movement, as well as the media hybridity between human beings and machines. Second, it examined how the dance contents of influencers and ticktokers, who may be the symbols of social media, have been idealized as those suitable for the digital mobility. Third, it discussed the constitutive mechanism in which the media information about dance acquires the moving power as capital in social networks, by considering it the issues of body’s moving speed and struggles for power. Conclusion: In the age of movement, research on the ‘dance mobility’ is also a study on the relationship between material and immaterial things in the network capital, as well as on the ‘body’s moving power’, in other words, how the dance can be mobility capital in the digital culture. The relationship between dance and mobility is tied with the issues of cultural capital, consumption art, aesthetics of presence, which are the historical questions that should be fully discussed in the future. This study thus has an adequate academic implication.
