초록

The purpose of this study is to conduct a systemic review and meta-analysis of literature that have verified the effectiveness of Korea’s moral education programs. Through this, I wanted to confirm the importance of moral education. The analysis was conducted using MS Excel and CMA 3.0 in 24 experimental studies published from January 2000 to July 2021. The main findings were as follows. First, when the random-effects model was applied, the effect size of the moral education programs was 1.310, which was statistically significantly large. Second, analyzing the effect size for dependent variables, effects on sociality and moral behavior were greatest. Third, analyzing the effect size by category showed that each effect size of type of publication, subject, and number of session was significant, but arbitration method was not. Based on these results, I discussed the directions of future moral education programs.
