The purpose of the study was to examine factors impacting the decision to participate education and training of employees in the manufacturing industry using decision tree analysis. To do this, Human Capital Corporate Panel data 7th were used. In this study sample was 8,020. As a result, the most significant influence was the job relevance of education and training content. In addition, the final educational background and education and training participation process of workers affected the decision to participate in education and training. The participation rate decreased when the job relevance and field applicability of education and training contents were low, and the participation rate increased when the field applicability and versatility of education and training contents were high. However, even with low diversity of education and training content, the participation rate for those with a college degree or higher increased. The participation rate increased when the job relevance was high and Junior College graduates or higher, but the participation rate decreased when the gender was female. In the case of manufacturing workers, it was highly likely that they would not participate if the job relevance and field applicability of the contents of education and training were low. These confirm the Investigating Determinantal Factors of Participation in Education and Training for Workers in Manufacturing Industry. Then, we suggested policy implications to help with the results.
