범죄 행동을 통한 대인 강도 범죄자의 유형별 분류에 관한 연구

초록

In order to differentiate types of robbery based on crime-scene behaviors,a total of 79 robbery cases were examined. As a result, two types of robbery were identified in the present study, namely planners and opportunists. It turned out that planners were more likely to select the target in advance and consider crime procedures and route of escape before the offense, to commit offense with confederates, to display violence toward the victim by using a weapon, and to display no fear of getting caught. Meanwhile, opportunists were more likely to select offense site where is no light and no patrol around, hit the victim without a weapon,to commit offense under the influence of alcohol, and to get arrested at the crime scene. In terms of offender background characteristics,opportunists tend to have no previous conviction of robbery and not use drugs before the offense, whereas planners tend to have previous convictions of robbery and use drugs before the offense.
