This study analyzed data from the 2017 Comprehensive Survey of Children in Seoul, including 4,831 children aged 10-17. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, the experience of discrimination in everyday life significantly increased depression/anxiety and aggression. Second, results revealed that self-esteem and stress were significant mediators in the relationship between experience of discrimination in everyday life and depression/anxiety, aggression of children. Third, among the mediating factors, the indirect effect of stress was greater than that of self-esteem. Findings suggested that discrimination prevention education is needed to reduce depression/anxiety, and aggression caused by experience of discrimination in everyday life. Also, strategies for promoting self-esteem and reducing stress were discussed.
