dc.description.abstract | 이 글의 목적은 루소의 인권개념이 무엇인지를 정의하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 2장에서 루소의 개념과 오늘날의 개념이 얼마나, 어떻게 다른가하는 것을 비교하여 인식하기 위해, 인권 개념에 대한 현대적 논의들을 살펴보고 비판한다. 인권은 인간과 권리란 무엇인가에 대한 답의 합성어라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 인간의 본성과 권리의 본성이 무엇인지에 대해 살펴본다. 3장에서 권리개념의 기원과 발달을 살펴봄으로써 오늘날 권리개념이 어떻게 영향을 받고 어떻게 다른지가 드러난다. 그 과정에서 인권(자연권)의 언어적 기원과 발달, 그리고 그 본성이 무엇인지가 드러난다. 마지막으로 4장에서는 루소가 인간의 본성과 권리의 본성을 어떻게 바라보고 있는가에 대해 답이 찾아진다. 그래서 루소에게 인권은 자연권이자 곧 인간적 정의(human justice)와도 같으며, 이에 기초한 존재론적 차원의 인권개념이 제안된다. 이 과정에서 루소와 현대의 학자들의 이해의 차이가 확연하게 드러나게 되며, 앞으로 인권개념에 기초한 연구들이 어떻게 이루어져야 할 것인가에 대한 성찰과 제언의 기회가 제공된다. | - |
