dc.description.abstract | This study intends to provide background information of climate change from economic theory. Tragedy of commons is applied to explain the excessive emission of greenhouse gases, resulting in climate change. Option value approach is used to show the optimal timing of the implementing policies and measures of climate change. Economic interpretation of Kyoto Mechanism and the meaning of the sustainable development in Clean Development Mechanism are provided in this article. Enlightened with better understanding of economic rationale, both researchers and policy-makers could access the climate change policies. | - |
