대면교육 공백에 따른 평생교육 담당자의 인식과 역할 변화

Abstract

목적: 본 연구는 평생교육 담당자들이 코로나19 시대에 직면하게 된 딜레마 상황과 그에 대한 대안모색 과정에서 경험한 역할 및인식의 변화과정을 전환학습 관점을 통해 탐색해 보고자 한다. 방법: 이를 위해 5년 이상 경험을 가진 평생교육 담당자 6명과 5년 미만의 경험을 가진 담당자 1명 등 경력 및 농촌, 도시, 복합지역등 지역적 요소를 고려하여 총 7명을 대상으로 사례연구를 실시하였다. 참여관찰 및 반구조화된 질문지를 활용하여 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 수집한 자료를 주제분석기법을 통해 분석하였다. 결과: 연구결과, 최근의 급격한 환경 변화 속에서 평생교육 담당자들은 학습 방법의 변화에 따른 학습 접근성과 기회의 측면에서 시작하여, 주요 영역의 변화와 학습의 질적 측면 등 다양한 영역에서 혼란과 딜레마 상황을 경험하게 되었다. 이를 해결하기 위해 평생교육 담당자들은 대안을 모색하고 실행하는 과정 속에서 자신들의 역할을 다시 재구성하였으며, 기존의 평생교육에 대한 인식을 변화및 확장시켜 나갔다. 결론: 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구자들은 삶의 필수적 영역으로서의 평생학습의 중요성을 다시 한번 확인하고 이를 위한행⋅재정적 지원과 평생교육 담당자들의 전문성과 영역별 세분화의 필요성을 주장하였다.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to explore lifelong educators’ dilemma and change of role and perspective in the era of covid-19 that has caused the absence of face-to-face education in the field of lifelong education. Methods: To achieve this purpose, researchers adopted the case study methods. Researchers analyzed lifelong educators’ realities and dilemma in the recent rapid environmental change and explored how they responded to them. Results: As results, researchers found that lifelong educators faced dilemma related with managing programs, using educational methods and developing educational capacities. Facing dilemma, they tried to investigate and apply alternatives on the field of lifelong education. During these processes, lifelong educators changed and reestablished their roles and perspectives related with lifelong education. Conclusions: Based on these findings, researchers discussed the future direction of lifelong education.
