프로티언 커리어 태도를 지닌 1인 기업가가 살아내는 일 경험의 이야기 탐구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 프로티언 커리어 태도를 지닌 1인 기업가의 삶의 이야기를 통해 1인 기업가로 살아내며 구성해 나가는 일 경험을 깊이 있게 탐색하고 이해하는데 있다. 전 세대를 아우르는 고용시장의 불안정성은 특히 자신의 경력개발에 개인 스스로가 더 많은 책임을 지고 준비할 것을 요구하게 되면서 자기주도성과 자발성에 근거하여 자신의 경력을 개발하는 개인들의 태도라 할 수 있는 프로티언 경력(Hall, 2002; Hall, 2004)에 주목하고 있다. 특히, 국내의 사회 문화적 맥락 속에서 1인 기업가로서의 경력 경로를 선택하는 것은 대단히 모험적이고 도전적인 결정일 수 있기에 이들의 독특하고 개별적인 진로선택의 이유와 과정에 주목할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 프로티언 커리어 태도를 지향하는 1인 기업가의 일 경험을 이해하고자 내러티브 탐구의 방법론을 사용하였다. 연구결과로 1인 기업가로의 일경험의 의미는 <이유있는 반항>, <이단아>, <아리아드네의 실>, <홀로서기>, <가슴으로의 길>로 드러났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 진로상담의 영역에서의 논의와 후속 연구를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to deeply explore and understand the experience of living and constructing as a one-person enterprise through the narrative inquiry of a one-person enterprise with a protean career attitude. On the instability of the employment market is increasing, it is important that the protean career(Hall, 2002; Hall, 2004), which is an attitude of individuals who develop their career based on self-initiative and values as they demand more responsibility and preparation. It is a very adventurous and challenging decision to choose career paths as a one person enterprise in the domestic socio-cultural context, so it is necessary to pay attention to the reasons and process of their career choice. The meaning of work experience of a one-person enterprise with a protean career attitude that was understood through the stories of the lives of research participant were categorized into five topics: <Reason for Rebellion>, <Rebel>, <Ariadne's string>, <Standing alone>, <The Path to the Heart>. Based on the results of the study, the discussion and follow - up study in the field of career counseling were presented.
