의미역의 분류에 대하여

Abstract

본고는 의미역을 분류하는 방법의 하나로 술어를 가운데 두고 대립적인 의미 기능을 하는 두 논항의 성격을 서로 관련시키는 방법을 사용하여 의미역을 분류하였다. 행위주와 대상은 술어를 통해 서로 관련을 맺게 되는데 행위주와 대상의 분류를 이들 사이의 관계에 따라 나누면 어느 정도 체계적인 분류가 가능하다고 본 것이다. 의도적인 행위의 주체와 행위의 대상을 묶어서 동작주와 피동작주로 나누었다. 의도적인 행위의 주체이나 대상을 가지지 않을 경우에는 행위주라고 한다. 무정물이 대상에 영향을 미치는 경우에는 영향주와 피영향주로 묶을 수 있다. 심리 술어의 주어에 해당하는 경험주는 경험의 원천이 되는 자극과 하나의 쌍을 구성한다. 심리적인 행위의 주체를 심리행위주라고 한다면 그 대상은 심리대상으로 분류할 수 있다. 동반주 역시 주체와 관련된 동반주는 주체 동반주, 대상과 관련된 동반주는 대상 동반주로 분류된다.

This thesis explored how to classify semantic roles. The semantic roles were classified using a method that relates the nature of the two arguments with their predicate. Agents and themes are related to each other through predicates. When classifying agents and themes, some systematic classification can be made by dividing them according to their relationship. Intentional actions and the objects of action were grouped into actor and patient. In the case of inanimate substance affecting the objects, they may be grouped into affector and affected respectively. The subject of psychological predicate and its stimulus or cause make up a pair of experiencers and stimuli. If the subject of psychological behavior is called psychological behavior, the target can be classified as psychological object. Companions related to the subjects are classified as subject companion and companions related to the themes are classified as object companion.
