- Abstract
- The aim of this paper is through the verification of "Tomita memo" which was released in July 2006 and it revealed a big reaction, Emperor Showa was not worshiping the Yasukuni shrine uncomfortably against the enshrinement of "Class A war criminal" It is to clarify what it is.
A big debate over the relationship between Emperor and Yasukuni Shrine was developed by "Tomita Memo" opening. However, among such arguments, the most essential problem of why the Emperor had discomfort against the enshrinement of "Class A war criminal" was far from the subject of discussion.
If we explore the meaning of the Emperor 's discomfort, it should be clear that it is inseparable from Emperor' s war responsibility, but since most of the discussions were discomforting by the Emperor, the prime minister It is a confrontation between the position that he should not worship and the standpoint of doubting credibility of the memo.
Therefore, in this paper, first of all, we examined the repercussions evoked by "Tomita memo" in the press of the speech and the tone of the conservative thesis and then examined the "Tomita memo" It demonstrates discomfort and demonstrates what it relates to the Emperor 's war responsibility.
