Abstract

This study aims at identifying the effect of dance and movement programs on the treatment for obese women and developing a scientific and systematic dance and movement program. For this purpose, various observations were conducted for two groups, the workout group which participated in the dance and movement program for twelve weeks(once a week, one hour 15min per session), and the non-workout group, which didn't participate in the program. The changes in the level of eating habits(Eating Attitude Test: EAT - 26), the level of depression(Beck Depression Inventory : BDI), the level of anxiety(Beck Anxiety Inventory : BAI), and physical indexes(weight, waist circumference, and rate of body fat) were measured for each group.
