dc.description.abstract | This Paper focused on how semiotic analysis should be formed about dance. Semiotic methodology can be divided into two systems in the dance text. The first method of them analyzes performing, as dance movement, separating it into a paradigma. The other one is a system which analyzes the narrative structure of dance. The narrative analyzes is effected in the Greimas semiotics. At this point, the thesis introduces the Greimas semiotics which is a core in the modern semiotics into Korean dance to offer the new frame of an interpretation. A dance-theater, <The sky, The sound of drum> by Song Bum, is chosen for the text. The analysis of the character actantiel madéle will gain interpretative diversity. Relation between the subject and object in the actantiel madéle shows acquisition, maintenance, in-acquisition and deprivation in line with the relation between connection and removal. In <The sky, The sound of drum>, while acquisition and deprivation are contrary to each other, the whole meaning structure, 'trial', is realized. The relation between the subject and object will be able to overcome the abstraction which the easting methodology have and define the meaning structure of the text more scientifically and rationally. | - |
