The study examined polychronicity, an hotel employees’ preference on engaging in multiple activities simultaneously as opposed to one at a time. In the hotel industry setting, it is critical to understand whether a employees prefers to engage in and switch among multiple tasks because it directly impacts the level of work engagement and turnover intention the employees experiences. The purpose of the study was to present a comprehensive view on relationships among polychronicity, work engagement, and turnover intention within the hotel industry. These results are based on research, and the outcomes are as follows: First, the result of the analysis supported that polychronicity positively predicted work engagement. However, the result supported the hypothesized negative relationship between polychronicity and turnover intention. Lastly, this research verified the moderation effect of person-job fit moderated between polychronicity and turnover intention. The findings of the study will assist hotel managers in selecting candidates that best fit their organization. It will also assist employees in determining which career path best matches their personality traits.
