- Abstract
- As long periods of slow-growing worldwide economy are being faced, every country advocates sustainable growth and job creation as their major governmental project, and the one of these alternatives is searching from the foundation by young people. The Korean Government also asserts to attain economic growth and create job through a creative economy and promote various policies and supports, especially emphasizing activation of startups. As a result, the importance for startup education is socially rising as the plan to activate a foundation for the young. In step with this trend, many universities are becoming aggressive with their startup education by strengthening their startup education competency and introducing startup friendly college systems. However, the effectiveness of startup educations has only recently been pointed out. Therefore, this study aims to examine the direction of startup education programs in Korean universities. © 2015 International Information Institute.
