- Abstract
- This study explored the distinction and relationship between the self-management and the exercise addiction in the sex and the degree of health recognition of the leisure sports participants. The 625 adults over the age of 20 years, participating in the various leisure sports programs, selected to analysis; male 301, female 324. The multi-variable analysis was conducted to examine the difference of self-management and exercise addiction according to the gender and the degree of health recognition. The results both self-management and exercise addiction have significant distinctions in the gender and the degree of health recognition. Further, the multiple regression analysis was implemented to prove whether the self-management has an effect on exercise addiction or not. The result indicated that the mental management has a significant role in the motion dependent and exercise motivation, but body management has a negative impact on the all factor of exercise addiction. Also, the interpersonal management revealed that has a negative impact on social problem and exercise motivation. However, exercise desire appeared that has a positive effect. The training management exposed to has a positive influence on social problem, exercise dependence, withdrawal symptoms, and exercise motivation.
