산업기술박물관 설립기획에서의 정체성 확보방안 연구

Abstract

This year, 2009, is the 100th Anniversary of Korean Museum. Korean museums have been increasing numerically since 1980s, and another museum boom has begun in 2000s. Despite this museum boom, many museums have the problem about museum identity. However we still need another museum such as industrial technology museum. It is not too much to say that we don't have any museum to exhibit Korea's industrial technology synthetically and systematically, so that the discussion for the establishment of the Museum of Industrial Technology is started again recently. The keyword for the success of the museum is in the museum's identity. Because of this, it is important to establish identity of the museum in planning phase. This study would like to look into ways to secure identity of museum in planning phase and to seek ways to distinguish industrial technology museum's identity from the existing museums, and to discuss the ways of the establishing industrial technology museum in Korea.
