Abstract
We present a lower bound and an upper bound for the number of distinct eigenvalues of a regular matrix pencil perturbed by a matrix pencil of arbitrary rank. We also obtain an upper bound for the number of distinct eigenvalues of a matrix perturbed by an arbitrary rank matrix.
