상담자의 대리외상경험과 공감피로의 관계: 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 상담자가 외상상담 후 겪게 되는 간접적인 외상을 의미하는 대리외상경험과 공감피로의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이러한 과정을 통해 상담자가 대리외상 경험 후 공감피로를 경험하는 것을 심화시키는 요인을 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 상담자 317명을 대상으로 대리외상 경험, 공감피로, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절에 대한 설문을 온라인으로 진행하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 매개효과 검증을 위한 회귀분석을 실시하였고 Sobel test 검증을 통해 매개효과의 유의성을 확인하였다. SPSS Macro 3.5를 사용하여 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 하위유형에 따른 매개효과도 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대리외상경험, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절, 공감피로는 유의미한 정적 상관을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 대리외상경험과 공감피로의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절과 그 하위 유형의 부분매개효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 상담자가 경험하고 있는 공감피로에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고, 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation in the relationship between vicarious trauma experience and empathy fatigue. A survey of 317 counselors was conducted online for this study. Regression analysis, correlation, and mediating effect verification is conducted using SPSS 25.0, and the significance of the mediating effect was verified through Sobel test verification. Mediating effect of subtypes of maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation was conducted using SPSS Macro 3.5. The results of this study are as follows. First, vicarious trauma experiences, maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation, and empathy fatigue had significant static correlations. Second, indirect mediating effect of maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation and its subtypes was in the relationship between vicarious trauma experience and empathy fatigue. Based on these results, implication and suggestions for future study are discussed.
