고든의 패턴학습을 중심으로 한 초등 방과후학교 가창수업의 효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 고든(E. Gordon 1927-2015)의 교수법을 응용한 패턴학습 활동이 초등학생들의 음악성 향상에 미치는 효과를 검증하고 초등 방과후학교 가창수업에의 적용 사례를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 고든의 패턴학습을 응용한 활동을 중심으로 초등 방과후학교 가창 수업 지도안을 개발하였다. 총 8차시의 가창수업 지도안은 매 차시마다 리듬패턴과 음정패턴을 연습하는 활동을 포함하여 구성하였으며 서울시 용산구에 소재한 초등학교 저학년 학생 7명을 대상으로 방과후 수업을 진행하였다. 수업의 효과를 분석하기 위하여 수업 전과 후에 고든의 음악 오디에이션 초급 테스트(PMMA)로 학생들의 변화를 측정하였으며 교사의 수업일지를 통하여 수업과정을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 7명의 학생들 모두 리듬·음정 점수가 향상 되었고 수업 관찰을 통해서도 학생들의 가창 실력이 향상 된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of afterschool sining class applying Gordon’s pattern study. In this study, 8 lesson plans were developed for the singing class of elementary afterschool. The lesson plans of 8 singing classes consist of pattern study activities applied from Gordon’s Music Learning Theory. The afterschool singing classes were conducted with 7 elementary students and their musicianship was tested using Gordon’s PMMA(Primary Measures of Music Audiation) before and after the program in order to verify the educational effect of the program. In addition, the teaching journal written by the teacher was analyzed. The results indicated that the afterschool singing classes based on pattern study activities were positively effective on students’ musicianship.
