노인의 회복탄력성 수준에 따른 ‘나무에서 사과 따는 사람(PPAT)’ 그림검사 반응특성

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 회복탄력성 수준에 따른 ‘나무에서 사과 따는 사람(Person Picking an Apple from a Tree: PPAT)’ 그림검사 반응특성 차이를 연구하여 PPAT 그림검사가 노인의 회복탄력성 수준을 측정하는 보조적 검사 도구로 활용될 수 있는지를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 서울, 경기도 및 전라북도에 소재한 노인시설 등에서 노인 161명을 대상으로 회복탄력성 수준을 측정하고 PPAT 그림검사를 시행하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 사용하였고 독립표본 t 검정과 교차분석을 진행하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 회복탄력성 수준에 따른 PPAT 그림검사의 형식척도(FEATS)에 대한 독립표본 t 검정 결과 ‘색의 적절성’, ‘공간’, ‘사실성’, ‘통합성’, ‘문제해결력’, ‘발달단계’, ‘대상과 환경의 세부묘사’ 및 ‘사람’의 8개 항목에서 회복탄력성 수준이 높은 집단과 회복탄력성 수준이 낮은 집단 사이에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 노인의 회복탄력성 수준에 따른 내용척도(Contents Scale)에 대한 t 검정과 교차분석 결과 ‘전체 그림에 사용된 색의 수’, ‘사람의 실제 에너지-땅에 서 있음’, ‘사과나무의 색-수관’, ‘옷-옷이 없음(막대 형태 또는 손)’, ‘배경묘사-해, 일출, 일몰’ 및 ‘배경묘사-풀, 수평선’에서 회복탄력성 수준이 높은 집단과 회복탄력성 수준이 낮은 집단 사이에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 노인의 회복탄력성 수준을 예측할 수 있는 보조적 검사 도구로서 PPAT 그림검사의 활용가능성을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the availability of ‘Person Picking an Apple from a Tree(PPAT)’ as a supplemental tool for testing the level of resilience of the elderly by analyzing the characteristics of responses according to the level of resilience of the elderly. For the purpose, a total of 161 elderly in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Jeollabuk-do were examined for resilience and the PPAT. The SPSS 25.0 program was used for data analysis and Independent Samples t-Test and Chi-Square were conducted. The analysis results are as follows. First, the Independent Samples t-Test on the FEATS according to resilience of the elderly showed significant differences between the groups in eight scales of the FEATS – ‘color fit’, ‘space’, ‘realism’, ‘integration’, ‘problem solving’, ‘development level’, ‘details of objects and environment’ and ‘person’, depending on the level of resilience in the elderly. Second, the results of t-Test and Chi-Square showed significant differences in the categories of the Contents Scale -‘number of colors used in the whole picture’, ‘actual energy-standing on implied or actual ground’, ‘color of apple tree-top’, ‘clothing-no clothes (stick figure or hand)’, ‘environmental details-sun, sunrise, sunset’ and ‘environmental details-grass or horizon line’ according to the level of resilience of the elderly. In conclusion, this study confirmed that the PPAT can be useful for predicting and testing the level of resilience of the elderly and identified the potential of the PPAT as a supplemental instrument.
