- Abstract
- In supply shortage in the islanded mode of microgrid operation, a load shedding is generally applied to meet a balance between supply and demand of power. Since the power demands of some loads follow a discrete pattern, in order to apply the load shedding, an effective method with consideration of the discrete characteristics is required. In this paper, we define a load-shedding problem with consideration of the discrete characteristic. We propose a load-shedding scheme by employing a game theory and proportional fairness algorithm for maximizing load management and fairness. Through a numerical analysis, we show the feasibility and performance of the proposed scheme. ⓒ2014 International Information Institute.
