Abstract
The best cell efficiency of lab scale dye sensitized solar cell (DSC) exceeds 11%, but there are still many technological problems to overcome for commercialization. This review describes key technological elements in DSC,including working electrodes with dye/TiO_2/electrolyte interfaces, quasi solid state electrolyte with ion diffusion, and counter electrodes with electrolyte-catalytic electrode interfaces. Their operating principles, equivalent electric circuits and measurement techniques are described.
