- Abstract
- With the development of Augmented Reality (AR) devices, a 3D display is being applied as a panel of ARs, such as an AR head-up display that uses a 3D panel and provides 3D stereoscopic images. The wide application of 3D displays to these AR fields has resulted in various sizes and types of panels used in 3D displays. A light field design is used to design high-definition 3D displays of various sizes and pixel structures. In the light field, light is represented as dots, which means the ray profile of the 3D display is not reflected. However, light ray profiles are an essential factor in 3D display quality in the sense of crosstalk. In this paper, we propose a 3D display simulation method in light field space considering the light ray profile. © 2021 IEEE.
