문학교육에서의 ‘학생 작품’ 수록 현황 및 교육적 가치와 활용의 방향

Abstract

학생 작품은 문학적 가치뿐 아니라 교육적 가치가 중시되는 문학교육 정전의 특성을 잘 보여주는 유형의 작품이다. 본 연구에서는 2009 개정‧2015 개정 교육과정 시기 중등학교 국어 교과서와 문학 교과서에 수록된 학생 작품들을 조사하여 수록 현황을 확인하고, 학생 작품의 주제적 특성을 검토한 후에 학생 작품의 활용 양상 및 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 학생 작품은 가족과의 추억 및 갈등, 친구들과의 관계, 자연에 대한 감상, 시험 성적에 대한 부담 등 청소년의 일상생활과 관심사를 다루고, 표현 및 창작 활동, 원작의 재구성, 재치를 통한 흥미 유발 등의 측면에서 활용되는 특성을 보임을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 분석을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 학생 작품의 활용 방향으로 문학적 가치와 교육적 가치가 긴장하는 작품 활용, 학생 작품의 주제·장르·감상의 다양화, 학생 작품 감상의 기회 보장, 청소년 창작 주체의 고유성 인정 등을 제안하였다.

The students’ works represent the characteristics of educational canons that highly regard educational value as well as literary value. This paper invastigated Korean language and literary textbooks used in secondary schools according to 2009·2015 revised curriculums to check the current status and the subjects of students’ works and to analyze the tendency of them. As a result, this paper found that the students’ works deal with teenagers’ daily lives such as memories and conflicts with their families, relationships with friends, appreciation of nature and burden of tests and that the students’ works are used in terms of literary expression and writing, rewriting literary works and wit to arouse interests. Based on this analysis, this study suggested using literary students’ works that serve educational purposes, diversifying the subject, genre, appreciation of them, ensuring the opportunity to appreciate them and recognizing uniqueness of student authors.
